Money

Overview

Money is Victoi's multi-currency wallet and payments product. It lets a single person hold, send, receive, convert, and spend more than forty currencies — fiat and stablecoin — from one balance, using whichever payment rail is fastest and cheapest for the destination.

The product is built on a simple idea: money should move the way the people sending it actually move. People live across borders, get paid in one currency, pay rent in another, send to family in a third. Money in Victoi follows that life. One account, every currency, every rail.

Key features

  • Multi-currency wallet. Hold 40+ fiat currencies in named sub-wallets — USD, EUR, GBP, BRL, MXN, NGN, ZAR, KES, and many more — alongside USDC and USDT stablecoins. Each currency keeps its own balance; there is no forced base currency.
  • Real mid-market conversion. Move between currencies at the real mid-market rate. No marked-up "tourist" FX.
  • Send on any rail. SEPA and SEPA Instant for euro; Faster Payments for sterling; ACH and wire for US dollar; Pix for Brazilian real; SPEI for Mexican peso; PayShap for South African rand; M-Pesa for Kenyan shilling; mobile money across West and East Africa; and on-chain transfers in USDC and USDT. Victoi picks the right rail automatically based on the recipient and the currency.
  • Send to any phone, any bank, or any wallet. Recipients do not need a Victoi account. Money lands in their bank, mobile-money wallet, or as a claim link.
  • Virtual and physical Visa cards. Tap to pay anywhere Visa is accepted. The card settles in your local currency at the real rate — no surprise FX markup at the till.
  • Receive in any supported currency. Each sub-wallet exposes the local account details people are used to (IBAN, sort code, ACH numbers, Pix key, etc.), so salaries, invoices, and refunds land directly.
  • One balance, one history. Every wallet, every rail, every card transaction sits in one chronological history with clear labels and exchange snapshots.

How it works

A new user opens an account, completes identity verification once, and immediately has access to wallets in their home currency plus any others they add. From the home screen they can:

  1. Top up a wallet — by bank transfer in any supported currency, by stablecoin deposit, or by adding money from their existing bank card.
  2. Convert between wallets at the mid-market rate with a single tap.
  3. Send to a phone number, account number, mobile-money number, IBAN, or on-chain address. Victoi routes the payment over the rail that is fastest and lowest-cost for that destination, in the currency the recipient wants to receive.
  4. Spend with their Victoi card — virtual instantly, physical by post. The card draws from whichever wallet they choose, in the local currency of the merchant.
  5. Track every movement in the activity feed, with the rail and rate clearly shown on each transaction.

Use cases

  • A freelancer in Lagos invoices European clients in EUR, holds the balance as EUR, converts a portion to NGN when the rate suits them, and spends locally with a Victoi card.
  • A family in São Paulo sends weekly support to a grandparent in Lisbon by topping up their BRL wallet, converting to EUR, and sending over SEPA Instant — the grandparent's bank receives euros in seconds.
  • A founder in Nairobi pays a remote contractor in Manila in USDC for predictable cost, then later swaps to KES at the mid-market rate.
  • A student studying abroad receives their stipend in GBP via Faster Payments, holds it as GBP, and taps their card to pay for groceries — no double conversion.
  • A small business takes payment in dollars from US customers (ACH) and rand from South African customers (PayShap) into the same account, then converts to a single operating currency for payroll.

FAQ

Which currencies can I hold? More than 40 fiat currencies — including USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, BRL, MXN, NGN, ZAR, KES, GHS, UGX, TZS, INR, IDR, PHP and many more — plus the USDC and USDT stablecoins. Each is a real, separate balance.

Do recipients need a Victoi account? No. Money can be delivered to any bank account, mobile-money wallet, or phone number on a supported rail. If the recipient is on Victoi the transfer is instant and free.

How does Victoi pick which rail to use? Automatically. For each destination Victoi compares the available rails — SEPA, ACH, Pix, M-Pesa, mobile money, on-chain, and others — and picks the combination that delivers the right currency to the recipient fastest and cheapest. The chosen rail is shown before you confirm.

Is there an FX markup? No. Currency conversion happens at the real mid-market rate. Fees, when they apply, are shown clearly and separately before you confirm.

Can I get a physical card? Yes. A virtual Visa card is available immediately after sign-up; a physical card can be ordered and posted. Both run on Visa and work wherever Visa is accepted.

Where is my money held? Funds are held with regulated banking partners. Stablecoin balances are held on-chain. Victoi does not lend out user funds.

Which countries can I use Victoi Money from? Coverage is expanding. The supported-country list inside the app is the source of truth; if your country is not yet supported, the app will say so during sign-up.
