1. Scope
This AUP applies to anyone who accesses or uses the Services, including individuals, organizers, and any agents acting on their behalf. The list below is not exhaustive; we may prohibit other conduct that is illegal, abusive, or that creates risk for Victoi, our users, or our Partners.
2. General prohibitions
You may not use the Services to:
- violate any applicable law, regulation, court order, or third-party right;
- engage in fraud, deception, false statements, identity theft, or impersonation of any person or entity;
- provide false, misleading, or stolen information during registration, KYC, or any other interaction with us or our Partners;
- create or maintain more than one personal account, unless we expressly authorize it (for example, distinct personal and business accounts);
- attempt to evade Victoi or Partner controls, including geographic restrictions, sanctions screening, transaction limits, or velocity rules;
- access or use the Services from a Restricted Jurisdiction, or on behalf of a person or entity in a Restricted Jurisdiction;
- discriminate against or harass any person on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, age, or other protected status.
3. Financial-crime prohibitions
You may not use the Services to:
- engage in money laundering, terrorist financing, or sanctions evasion;
- structure or layer transactions to avoid reporting thresholds or other regulatory requirements;
- finance, support, or facilitate proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, narcotics trafficking, human trafficking, child sexual abuse material, or other serious criminal activity;
- deal with persons, entities, or jurisdictions subject to U.S., U.K., EU, U.N., or other applicable sanctions;
- conduct activities that violate consumer-protection, lending, or usury laws;
- commit, enable, or facilitate tax evasion;
- run a money-services business, payment-processing business, or similar regulated activity using your personal Victoi account.
4. Restricted businesses & uses
You may not use the Services to transact, accept payments, or store value for the following categories of business or use, except where we have expressly authorized you in writing and the activity is conducted under the legal and regulatory regime that applies:
- unlicensed financial services, including money transmission, securities dealing, lending, insurance, investment advice, or trust services;
- unlicensed gambling, gaming, lotteries, or sweepstakes;
- adult-content production or distribution, escort services, or other sexually explicit services;
- firearms, ammunition, explosives, weapons, weapon components, or weapon-related software or 3-D files;
- controlled substances, including narcotics, precursor chemicals, prescription medications sold without a valid prescription, and synthetic drugs;
- cannabis or cannabis-derived products in jurisdictions where they are not legal;
- tobacco, e-cigarettes, and vaping products in jurisdictions where they are restricted;
- counterfeit, stolen, or infringing goods or services;
- pyramid schemes, multi-level marketing involving deceptive practices, “get rich quick” schemes, and high-yield investment programs;
- unauthorized charitable solicitation, fake fundraising, or fundraising for purposes that are illegal in the recipient’s jurisdiction;
- unsolicited bulk communications (spam) and unauthorized telemarketing or marketing robocalls;
- any activity prohibited by card-network rules (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, UnionPay, JCB, RuPay, and other networks) or by Partner contracts.
5. Trading & market conduct
You may not, in connection with stocks, tokenized stock representations, or other markets:
- engage in market manipulation, including spoofing, layering, marking the close, painting the tape, wash trading, pump-and-dump, or coordinated trading designed to create artificial price movements;
- trade on the basis of material, non-public information, or otherwise engage in insider trading;
- front-run other users, the platform, or any Partner;
- attempt to exploit a quotation error, settlement glitch, market-data lag, or any other technical issue;
- violate the rules of any executing broker-dealer, exchange, alternative trading system, clearing organization, or prediction-market venue.
6. Prediction-market conduct
In the prediction-market features, you may not:
- take positions on outcomes that you have the ability to influence directly or through coordination (for example, an athlete betting on their own match, an event organizer trading on their event, or a public official trading on their own decisions);
- collude with others to corner a market, suppress prices, or coordinate large positions to induce specific outcomes;
- submit fraudulent or manufactured evidence to the venue’s resolution process, or tamper with resolution sources;
- use multiple accounts to circumvent position limits or self-exclusion rules.
7. Messaging, calls & content
You may not use the messaging, calling, broadcast, group, or content features to:
- harass, threaten, stalk, defame, or intimidate any person, or to incite violence against any person or group;
- sexually exploit or endanger minors, or share, request, or distribute child sexual abuse material; we will report apparent CSAM to the U.S. National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and to other authorities as required by law;
- share content that depicts non-consensual sexual activity, intimate images shared without consent, or graphic violence;
- send unsolicited commercial messages or robocalls, or violate consent and registry rules such as the U.S. Telephone Consumer Protection Act, CAN-SPAM, or local equivalents;
- impersonate another person, scam other users (including romance scams, advance-fee scams, tech-support scams, and fake-merchant scams), or solicit credentials, MFA codes, or recovery phrases;
- record calls without the consent required in your jurisdiction (for example, all-party consent in two-party-consent jurisdictions);
- distribute malware, phishing links, or other content designed to harm a recipient’s device or accounts.
8. Security & technical abuse
You may not:
- probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any Victoi or Partner system without prior written authorization (a coordinated-disclosure program may be available; contact legal@victoi.com);
- breach, defeat, or circumvent any authentication, access-control, rate-limit, or encryption mechanism;
- access another user’s account or data without authorization;
- interfere with the normal operation of the Services through denial-of-service, flooding, spam, or destructive code;
- reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Services, except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits.
9. Automation, scraping & APIs
You may not use bots, scripts, scrapers, headless browsers, or other automation to interact with the Services unless we expressly authorize it through a documented API. You may not use any data obtained from the Services to build a competing service, or to redistribute market data, prices, prediction-market lines, or user data without our written consent.
10. Intellectual-property abuse
You may not:
- upload, share, or transmit content that infringes copyright, trademark, trade secret, patent, or other rights;
- use Victoi marks, brand assets, or logos in a way that suggests endorsement or affiliation we have not authorized;
- strip, alter, or obscure proprietary notices or watermarks.
11. Minors
The Services are not intended for and may not be used by anyone under the age of 18 (or the higher minimum age in your jurisdiction). If we learn that an account is operated by a minor, we will close the account and delete the personal information we hold, except where retention is required by law.
12. Enforcement
We may take any action we consider appropriate in response to a violation of this AUP, including warning you, removing content, suspending features, freezing balances or transactions, restricting or closing your account, blocking devices or networks, reporting to law enforcement and regulators, and pursuing civil claims. We may, but have no obligation to, monitor or review activity on the Services. Where law-enforcement or Partner instructions require it, we will cooperate with investigations.
13. Reporting violations
To report a violation of this AUP, including suspected fraud, child exploitation, threats, or security issues, contact legal@victoi.com. For urgent threats to safety, contact local emergency services first.
14. Changes
We may update this AUP from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of the page indicates when it was last revised. Continued use of the Services after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
